AC Milan Win UEFA Champions League

It was far from a good game, but AC Milan have won the UEFA Champions League. The final ended in a 2-1 victory against Liverpool FC. The Reds had the ball most of the time but they did very little with it. Milan on the other hand was typically Milan again: smart and a deadly efficiency. The smartest team won tonight.

The best games I’ve seen in the competition this season were the two semi final matches between Milan and Manchester United. In both games, Milan was truly impressive.

HOWTO: Feed Component

Version 2007.1beta1 of the eZ Components has been released earlier this week. This release features a beta version of the Feed component. The downside is that there is almost no documentation available about this component, but I’m sure that is just a temporary situation that will be resolved before the final release.

Anyway, programmers are a bit like adventurers: to boldly go where no one has gone before. It would be a shame to keep this adventure for myself, so what follows is a small and simple tutorial that will show you how you can display items from an external feed.

1440×900 or 1920×1200?

That’s the question I’m asking myself. Here are the facts:

  • 17″ laptop screen
  • Gaming is not the primary nor the secondary purpose of the laptop, but I’m not saying I won’t game on it.
  • I’m a software developer and it will likely be used for some remote dev’ing.
  • I’m used to 1280×1024 as my standard resolution.
  • I’ve looked at 1280×800 widescreen resolution and the height is not big enough for me.

The screen should either be a 1440×900 (WXGA) or a 1920×1200 (WUXGA). If price is not an issue, what would you pick given the above constraints?

And a subquestion: Is 1920×1200 too small for 17″?
